China’s crude oil imports at record high in January

Singapore—China’s crude oil imports in January rose 11.9% year on year to 28.15 million mt, or an average 6.66 million b/d—a record high which surpassed the previous high of 6.33 million b/d in December 2013. China’s crude oil exports in January were 80,000 mt, a 71.4% plunge from the same month last year, according to preliminary data released Wednesday by the General Administration of Customs.
