Kosmos to abandon offshore Morocco well

London—Kosmos Energy has suffered a setback in its Moroccan exploration efforts, with a well targeting a big offshore prospect proving dry, the US company said Monday. The FA-1 well in the Foum Assaka block, the first in series of play-opening wells designed to unlock the Agadir Basin, has been plugged and abandoned after failing to find hydrocarbons, Kosmos said in its first quarter financial statement.
