Guanghui starts building Jiangsu LNG import terminal

Beijing-Privately-owned Chinese gas compa- ny Guanghui Energy has begun construction of its planned LNG receiving terminal in eastern Jiangsu province with a view to commissioning it by end 2016. Guanghui announced details of the project last November after signing a non-binding let- ter of intent with Anglo-Dutch major Shell to build the terminal. Shell has a 49% stake in the project with Guanghui holding the remain- ing 51%. The major will also help Guanghui source some of the LNG for the terminal.
