Nicosia—Noble Energy is looking at a number of options to commercialize the Aphrodite gas discovery in offshore Cyprus, including a floating LNG vessel and a CNG plant, John Tomich, Noble’s country manager for Cyprus told an energy conference Tuesday. Although Noble continues to see an onshore LNG facility in Cyprus as the preferred option for developing East Mediterranean gas resources, the Houston-based company is looking at alternative methods to monetize the gas.
