New York-Canadian imports of US crude fell to 427,173 b/d in June-down 28% from May-as the Brent-WTI spread nar- rowed, data from Platts and Statistics Cana- da showed. The incentive for US producers to seek exports is highly correlated to a wider ICE Brent/NYMEX WTI, and the spread averaged around $6.31/b in April and $9/b in March, which led to exports in May hitting a 2015 high of 573,173 b/d, data showed.
