Papua New Guinea’s Kutubu crude gets lighter

Singapore—The quality of Papua New Guinea’s Kutubu Blend crude has evolved with the addition of condensate from the PNG LNG project being fed into the grade, the latest assay from oil producer Oil Search showed. The latest assay issued in June indicated that Kutubu Blend now has a gravity of 49.1 API with a sulfur content of 0.026%. The last published assay from 2010, also by Oil Search, indicated a gravity of 44.8 API with a sulfur content of 0.044%.
