Sinopec gets state certification of Fuling shale gas

Singapore—China’s Ministry of Land and Resources has certified state-owned China Petroleum and Chemical Corp.’s (Sinopec) Fuling shale gas field in central China as containing some 106.75 billion cubic meters of proved reserves, the company said Thursday. The project, located in Chongqing, has been billed as China’s first large-scale shale gas development.
