Turcas plans exit from Turkey’s STAR refinery project

Istanbul—Turkish energy group Turcas is now hoping to sell its entire stake in the STAR oil refinery project being built at Aliaga on Turkey’s Petkim Peninsula to Azerbaijan’s Socar, the Turkish company said Tuesday. Turcas began talks with state-run Socar in February over a partial sale of the stake, held through its subsidiary Turcas Rafineri Yatirimlari which would hold on to the remaining 5%.
