London-The Western-led air campaign over Iraq and Syria has weakened the Islamic State militant group’s oil network, leaving the jihadists in control of only 20,000 b/d of oil production, the International Energy Agency said Tuesday. The militant onslaught in northern Iraq had given IS control of nearly 70,000 b/d of oil output, mostly in Iraq, but also in Syria, the IEA said in its latest monthly report.
