China’s gas demand maintains brisk growth rate

Singapore—China’s apparent gas demand continued to maintain its double-digit growth rate of the last few years in 2013, growing 15.4% year on year to 162.78 billion cubic meters. China does not release official gas demand data. Platts calculates apparent gas demand by taking into account domestic production and net imports of LNG and pipeline natural gas.
