摘要

London—Current oil price levels are unlikely to have a negative impact on the economies of Kuwait and other Gulf oil producers but could lead some companies to cut back on oil sector investment, Kuwaiti oil minister Ali al- Omair said Tuesday. Rising non-OPEC output, in particular from the United States, will more than absorb the expected growth in world oil demand over the next couple of years, analysts say. Amid perceptions of mounting oversupply, crude prices have been falling in recent months, with Brent trading below $82/barrel on Tuesday, $33/b below the mid-June level.
