Gazprom says still able to access capital markets

Moscow-Russian gas giant Gazprom still has access to a wide range of financial instru- ments, despite Western sanctions targeting Russian companies, and plans to seek financ- ing by the end of the year, company officials said Wednesday. “In this environment, Gazprom feels better than anyone else [in Russia]. We have a large and versatile set of instruments available to us which enables us to say that financial markets are still open to us these days,” Alex- ander Ivannikov, first deputy head of the com- pany’s department for finance and economics, said during a conference call.
