摘要

Singapore—Malaysia’s state-owned oil and gas company Petronas said Wednesday that the Bentara field in the Balai Cluster risk service contract had begun production, becoming the fourth field under the country’s RSC regime to come on stream. The field, which is expected to produce over 1,000 b/d of oil, is the second in the Balai Cluster RSC to begin production after the Balai field came on stream in November 2013. The Balai cluster RSC was awarded to BC Petroleum, a partnership between Roc Oil, Malaysia’s Dialog and Petronas’ upstream arm Petronas Carigali in August 2011. The cluster consists of the Bentara, Balai, Spaoh and West Acis fields and is located offshore Sarawak in eastern Malaysia.
