Singapore—Singapore-listed oil and gas independent KrisEnergy has been awarded a 95% working interest in the Sakti Production Sharing Contract, offshore East Java in Indonesia, where the company is actively developing gas aggregation opportunities. The remaining 5% is held by Golden Heaven Jaya Ltd. The Sakti exploration block covers 4,974 sq km (1,591.68 sq miles) in the East Java Sea and lies in water depth of between 50 meters and 60 meters, the company said Thursday. The block is close to the KrisEnergy-operated Bulu PSC and East Muriah PSC, where the company is currently planning the development of the Lengo and East Lengo gas discoveries, respectively.
