Chevron on track to hit 2017 production target

New York—Chevron remains on track to produce 3.1 million boe/d by 2017, despite a 1% third-quarter production drop to 2.568 million boe/d, a company executive said Friday. CFO Pat Yarrington told analysts on the company’s third quarter earnings call that Chevron is in the process of preparing its annual capital spending plan for 2015 and that current weaker crude prices “fall within the band” of prices used in the company’s low price scenario for determining which projects will go forward.
