China state refiners cut May crude runs

Singapore—China’s state-owned refiners have lowered their planned crude runs to an average 81% in May, down from 82% in April, a Platts monthly survey showed. The 24 refineries surveyed said they planned to process a combined 17.74 million mt (4.19 million b/d) of crude oil in May. Last month Platts surveyed 23 refineries. The May survey covered Sinopec’s 13 refineries, PetroChina’s 10 refineries and China National Offshore Oil Corp.’s Huizhou refinery. The 24 refineries have a combined capacity of 265.7 million mt/year.
