China Aviation Q2 jet trading volume dips

Singapore—China Aviation Oil’s jet fuel trading and supply volumes dipped by 0.7% year on year to 2.68 million mt during the second quarter, reflecting China’s waning appetite for imported jet fuel. The Singapore-listed trader has a monopoly over jet fuel imports into China and is the subsidiary of state-owned China National Aviation Fuel Group, which supplies jet fuel to airlines in the country. Despite the contraction in jet trading volumes, CAO said trading of other oil product cargoes surged 29.1% from a year earlier to 1.82 million mt in Q2.
