Cosmo, TonenGeneral to consolidate Chiba refineries

Tokyo—Japanese refiners Cosmo Oil and TonenGeneral have agreed to consolidate their refining operations in Chiba, Tokyo Bay under a joint operating company, which the companies aim to launch in January 2015. Under a memorandum of understanding signed Wednesday, Cosmo Oil and Tonen- General will aim to conclude a basic contract within the current financial year ending March 2015, the companies said.
