Poland’s PGNiG exits Egypt on poor results, instability

Warsaw—Polish gas company PGNiG said Wednesday it has decided to quit its sole exploration block in Egypt due to disappointing drilling results and political instability in the North African country. PGNiG’s press office confirmed a report in the daily Rzeczpospolita on Wednesday that the state-controlled company’s new management board has decided to pull out of the producer country.
