US crude imports continue to fall

Houston-Increased US crude production over the last several years has undermined the theory that US crude imports increase as the spread between US benchmark WTI and North Sea Brent narrows. Conventional wisdom suggests that as the Brent/WTI spread narrows, US refiners will look to increase their imports as international crudes become more competitive relative to domestic prices.
