摘要

New York—Growing Canadian oil production coupled with infrastructure delays is forcing some of the country’s crude players to mull sales of their oil as a “re-export” from the US Gulf, market watchers say. Enbridge is a case in point. The company’s long-term solution for moving crude out of Canada will be its Northern Gateway pipeline, which is awaiting a final federal government approval that could come sometime in June or July. But in the short term, trade sources told Platts that Enbridge, through its Tidal Energy Marketing subsidiary, is in talks to re-export heavy, sour crude from the US to China’s PetroChina and Unipec as well as Indian companies Essar and India’s major export refiner, Reliance with its mammoth 1.2 million b/d Jamnagar refinery complex.
