Lundin in ‘significant’ Barents sea discovery

London-Sweden’s Lundin Petroleum said Tuesday it has made what it called a signifi- cant oil and gas discovery in the Barents Sea, offshore Norway, northwest of the Snohvit field in the Barents Sea. Lundin said the preliminary evalua- tion of the gross recoverable oil and gas resource range in the Alta Prospect was estimated at 125 million-400 million bar- rels of oil equivalent.
