Gazprom calls for gas price deregulation

Moscow—Russian state-owned Gazprom has called for domestic gas prices to be deregulated, blaming current policies for causing a slip in its dominant local market share. Gazprom’s share of the Russian gas market fell to 72% last year, compared to over 73% in 2012, with independent gas producers making up the remaining 28%, the state gas giant said Wednesday.
