Angola LNG’s Soyo plant is expected to restart in 2016, and the cost of repairs and capacity expansion is expected to double to $8 billion from $4 billion, a market source close to the matter said this week. An Angola LNG representative, who asked not to be named, said Friday that the company expects the plant to restart in “late 2015” but declined to comment on the anticipated increase in cost.
