Tokyo—Japan Petroleum Exploration Co. expects to see a four-fold jump in its overseas crude oil sales in fiscal 2014-15 (April- March) to 1.223 million kiloliters (7.69 million barrels or 21,068 b/d) largely led by higher sales from the Gharraf project in Iraq. On February 21, Japex made its first-ever shipment of Gharraf crude, which was blended and exported as Basrah Light from a southern Iraqi terminal, a company official said Monday. The shipment size was 1.56 million barrels.
