Karachi—Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue, the country’s tax collection authority, has estimated that the South Asian nation is incurring annual losses of Pakistan Rupees 20 billion ($210 million) in tax revenue from gasoline and diesel sales due to an influx of smuggled oil products from Iran. Millions of liters of petroleum products such as gasoline and diesel are smuggled each year into Sindh province, where the southern port city Karachi lies, through Iran, Abdul Sami Khan, chairman of Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, said Tuesday.
