Cape Town—London-listed explorer Afren said Tuesday it expects to achieve record earnings for the past year, driven largely by a 14% increase in net production from its core upstream assets in Nigeria. The company said it expects full-year production to average 47,112 b/d of oil equivalent, which is at the upper end of its 40,000-47,000 boe/d guidance.
