BP restarts UK’s sanctions-hit Rhum gas field

London-BP is restarting output from the UK North Sea Rhum gas field, which has been out of action since November 2010 to comply with international sanctions requirements, since the field is part-owned by Iran’s national oil company. “We can confirm that we are in the process of restarting production from the Rhum gas field,” a spokesman for BP, which operates the field, said Friday.
