CNOOC signs deals with BP, Shell on London trip

London—China National Offshore Oil Corp signed deals on Tuesday with BP for a 20-year LNG supply deal and with Shell to coordinate on up and downstream projects, according to statements from the Western majors. BP will supply CNOOC with up to 1.5 million mt/year starting in 2019. The cargoes are to be drawn from BP’s international portfolio of LNG supply, the company said in a statement. The volumes have no specific destination port, and can be delivered to any of CNOOC’s terminals along China’s eastern coast.
