Inpex to start FID work for Abadi FLNG after summer

Perth—Japan’s Inpex hopes to start work on a final investment decision for its proposed Abadi floating LNG project offshore Indonesia after the summer, when front-end engineering and design work has been completed. “We started FEED work early last year, so we are planning to complete this work around this summer and then we’ll start preparation for the FID,” Inpex CEO Toshiaki Kitamura told reporters at a press conference during the Australian Petroleum Production and Exploration Association conference in Perth, Western Australia.
