EIA considers boosting crude by rail data analysis

Houston—The US Energy Information Administration is moving closer to increasing its analysis of crude by rail as the midstream method continues to gain popularity, EIA Administrator Adam Sieminski said Wednesday. “There is a million b/d [of crude] moving by rail, and I think in order to understand the energy situation in the US you have to have better information on that,” he said on the sidelines of the Argus Americas Crude Summit.
