London-The UK could see a modest recovery in its declining oil production this year for the first time in more than a decade based on “encouraging” provisional production data for the first half of the year, the country’s oil industry body said Tuesday. North Sea crude output rose 1.7% in the first half of 2014, compared with the same period last year, according to preliminary government data, offsetting a 1% decline in natural gas output over the period, Oil & Gas UK said in a report.
