Ukraine resumes Russian gas purchases

Moscow-Ukraine has resumed purchases of Russian natural gas following a discussion between the prime ministers of the two coun- tries, appearing to have partially eased ten- sions in an ongoing dispute between Kiev and Moscow over supplies. Gazprom CEO Alexei Miller said in a statement that Ukraine's state gas company Naftogaz had stopped taking gas out of under- ground storage facilities and resumed purchas- es of Russian gas "in line with its contract."
