London—Norway headed off another potential strike Wednesday after a wage agreement with unions for oil rig workers, leaving three other collapsed wage talks going forward to mediation with the possibility of strikes if that fails. Unions SAFE and Industri Energi reached a compromise deal with the Norwegian Shipowners Association, which represents companies employing the oil rig workers such as Odfjell Drilling.
