Vancouver—Suncor Energy is contemplating reviving its plan to attach a coker unit to its 130,000 b/d refinery in Montreal, linking an investment decision to approval of Enbridge’s planned Line 9 reversal in Ontario and Quebec, Suncor confirmed Wednesday. In addition to a Line 9 decision “there are a number of variables...that would need to be finalized before a decision would be made on whether or not the coker project would be resumed,” Suncor spokeswoman Sneh Seetal said in an email.
