Libya sees output recovery at risk over field hitches

Cairo-Libya’s crude production is now running at more than 900,000 b/d, an official at state-owned NOC said Wednesday, though any further increase in output is being hampered by technical problems rather than strike action by disgruntled workers in the east of the country. Strikes, which earlier this month forced Libyan oil output down below 800,000 b/d, continue at the Jalo oil fields in eastern Libya as workers demand improved working conditions and other protesters urge NOC to provide hundreds of jobs for locals.
