Western Refining keeps footprint in Delaware Basin

Houston—Western Refining will one day source all of the light sweet crude for its 128,000 b/d El Paso, Texas, refinery from the Delaware Basin, the US refiner’s CEO said Thursday during the company’s quarterly earnings call. “With the sheer amount of new production going on we are highly confident. Our goal in the next 12-24 months is to get 100% of our light sweet crude from that shale area,” Jeff Stevens said.
