London—US major Chevron and its local partner at the Rietavas block onshore Lithuania plan to drill a third exploration well at the end of this year or the start of next year, a spokeswoman for partner LL Investicijos said Tuesday. Chevron has opted to focus uniquely on the block—which is thought to hold both conventional and unconventional resources— after deciding to drop its bid for a license to explore for shale gas at the Silute-Taurage block in southwestern Lithuania.
