Houston-United Refining Energy Corporation said its $27 million bid for Metro Fuels was the highest bid in a tender held by US Bank- ruptcy Court for Eastern District of New York on February 5. "It will take about three weeks from now before it will be part of United Refining Energy Corp.," spokesman Nelson Happy said. Metro operates a one million gallon ter- minal in Brooklyn, New York, and another 500,000 gallon terminal at Calverton in Long Island, New York. The Calverton terminal is served by rail and also has a rack facility.
