Montenegro approves offshore licensing tender

Belgrade—The government of Montenegro has approved the country’s first tender to award concessions for offshore oil and gas exploration. The tender will consist of 13 offshore blocks totaling 3,000 square km (1,158 square miles) in southern Montenegro, adjacent to the maritime borders with Albania and Italy, according to Thursday’s decision published on the government’s website.
