EIA to decide later status of weekly data reports

Washington—With no end in sight to the US federal government shutdown, the Energy Information Administration said Tuesday it may halt key oil data collection and reporting as soon as next week if its funding runs out. EIA spokesman Jonathan Cogan said a decision would be made later this week on what data reports the agency could continue issuing.
