Goodrich buoyant on Tuscaloosa shale play

Houston—Completion of a key well on the Tuscaloosa Marine Shale play in southwest Mississippi has been delayed because of debris clogging the hole, operator Goodrich Petroleum Corp. said Friday. Nevertheless, Goodrich and analysts are confident parts of TMS—an oil-rich play that covers 2.5 million acres in an arc-like swath across much of Louisiana and into southwest Mississippi—will prove commercial.
