Seoul—South Korea’s customs agency has been conducting a probe into local oil refiners since last month for their “excessive tax refunds” related to North Sea crude imports. “We have been investigating refiners and are currently reviewing their tax documents for the past years,” an official at the Korea Customs Service told Platts Friday.
