Statoil finds ‘largest’ Sverdrup column yet

London—Statoil has had major success with its latest appraisal well at the massive Johan Sverdrup oil discovery offshore Norway, already thought to contain up to 3.3 billion barrels of recoverable oil, finding the biggest oil column to date with its latest appraisal well.
