Sinopec gets approval for Jiangsu LNG terminal

Singapore—China’s state-owned Sinopec has received initial government approval to begin construction of an LNG receiving terminal at Lianyungang port in eastern Jiangsu province. Jiangsu’s energy bureau has given approval to begin initial construction of the project, Sinopec said January 8. Final approval for the project has yet to be given by the National Development and Reform Commission.
