Colombia’s June oil, natural gas exports rise on year

Bogota—Colombia’s exports of crude oil, natural gas and derivatives rose in June to 4,015,574 mt, an 11.9% increase from the 3,564,486 mt shipped in the same month last year, but was a 1.8% decline from the 4.09 million mt exported in May, according to the government statistics agency DANE. Higher oil prices caused hydrocarbons export receipts to take an even bigger year on year jump to $2.658 billion, a 24.3% increase from the $2.138 billion collected in June 2012, according to DANE.
