Washington—A group of major manufacturers and public gas utilities have formed a new group to lobby against unlimited exports of US LNG, in direct opposition to gas associations and lobbyists such as the US Chamber of Commerce. The manufacturers’ group, America’s Energy Advantage, said that exporting LNG would hurt consumers and send jobs abroad. It also released the results of a survey it commissioned that found that 81% of voters think the US should restrict LNG exports until there is a better understanding of how they affect domestic gas prices.
