CNOOC's reserve replacement rate jumps

Hong Kong-China National Offshore Oil Corp. announced its reserves replacement rate jumped to 188% in 2012, versus 158% in 2011. The replacement rate is the measure of the amount of proved reserves added during the year relative to actual production. Bernstein Research said March 22 that CNOOC's reserves replacement was the stron- gest in the past decade and additions were organic and largely came from offshore China.
