Kogas may sell part of LNG Canada stake: CEO

Daegu, South Korea—The head of state-owned Korea Gas Corp. said Tuesday his company was considering selling part of its 20% stake in the Shell-led LNG Canada project as part of efforts to improve its financial position. Jang Seok-Hyo, CEO and president of the world’s biggest LNG importer, also said the company wanted to bring all of its offtake from the US Sabine Pass LNG project to South Korea to help stabilize domestic gas prices.
