Nigeria strike, field hitch dents Heritage oil output

London—Output from UK-based Heritage Oil’s recently-acquired onshore oil fields in Nigeria has been hit by faulty equipment and a strike by oilfield workers, since the company took over the asset last November. Gross production from Nigeria’s OML 30 block averaged 20,350 b/d since Heritage acquired the asset, compared with rates of up to 42,000 b/d previously, Heritage said in an annual earnings statement on April 30.
